A Soothing Environment to Detox and Reset

Recovery Works features bright indoor spaces with a fireplace in the common area. Guitars are available for interested clients to share their emotions and stories through music. The center is surrounded by a lush, green lawn with big trees, creating a restorative outdoor space for clients to enjoy during their stay. Clients can play board games, share stories with peers, and take private quiet time to unwind and reflect.

Medical Detox and Psychiatric Services

Upon admission, clients receive a clinical evaluation to determine the best medication for their medication-supported recovery needs. Methadone is an available option for those who have established a treatment plan including this medication with a prior provider. Other medications are available for clients without prior methadone approval. During the withdrawal process, medication can be instrumental to managing symptoms. Psychiatric services are also offered to address mental health.

Therapy Including Family, Holistic, and Creative Options

At Recovery Works, clients are offered one-on-one and group therapy. Family counseling is also available for loved ones who want to participate. As substance use affects not only the individual but also those around them, experiencing therapy together can be healing for all and help reset strained relationships. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) 12-step groups are held on-site. Holistic therapies include art and music therapy, and medication groups, supporting clients’ ability to unwind, as well as to express and channel complicated emotions.

Life Skills Classes and Ongoing Support

To set clients up for healthy living after inpatient treatment, life skills classes are a key part of the program. These include topics such as self-regulation and management, problem solving, and critical thinking, as well as educational resources to learn more about substance use and accompanying factors. Ongoing support includes regular check-ins, treatment plan adjustments, and an alumni aftercare group. This group holds free monthly meetings for former residents of Recovery Works to connect, share stories, and provide mutual support.
